Doctrine of Balaam, and Nicolaitans.

First, let us look at the meaning of two words used that you may not be familiar with and their part in revelations: Doctrine of Balaam and reference to the Nicolaitans.

It would really help you to understand my perception if you read Numbers 22, 23 and 24.
The doctrine of Balaam illustrates two distinct patterns against God; one is the breaking down of the law system of the Bible by indirect means through its own prophets and secondly, those who prophesies for personal gain.
Balaam was a prophet of God with a reputation that whatever He blessed in the name of his God was truly blessed; likewise, anything he cursed was truly cursed in the name of his God. The reason for the prophecy here is that we are looking at a prophet of God which claims to act on the instructions of God and which exists within the very Churches of God.
However, in fact, Balaam acts against the Word of God; then he went on to teach doctrines to undermining the Word of God, prophesying for gain and a continuous teaching in ways to get around the Word of God; for self gain while believing he was in the Word of God.
Just how great God’s love for us was definitely portrayed in this recall when God even in Balaam’s disobedience sent an Angle to speak through Balaam’s Jack-ass to try to gain his attention and move him to repent about what he was doing.
False Prophets’ within the church is the topic brought to light. We may also denote from this that when you ask God and he answers (wither you like the answer or not) it will relief a lot of chaos to just go ahead and obey. Think about the fact that Balaam’s final outcome from not listening to God the first time; lead finally to a plague on Israel that killed 24,000 Israelites.
KJV Numbers 31:16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
The second reference used is toward Nicolaitans which God says he hates.   Nicolaitans as referenced in the bible is the practice of:
But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.."
While Jesus walked in the nature of man, He taught His disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, whom He denounced as hypocrites; including chief priests and officials of the temple, together with the recognized teachers, in the synagogues. He declared they had so polluted the truth of God, which they were supposed to preach, with the doctrines and ordinances of men, that the truth, as originally given, was no longer with them.
KJV Matthew 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.”
(phylacteries are leather boxes containing slips of paper with scriptures written on them, traditionally worn by Jewish men during morning weekday prayers as reminders of their religious duties)
Concluding that both the Doctrine of Balaam and the Nicolaitans, are false teachers entering into the church at large.  From the scriptures I conclude that while we are to listen to the scriptures they are presenting to us we need to carefully be in continuous prayer to discern what their perceptions of those scriptures are;  Spiritually dividing the scripture from the presenters opinion of the scripture through the Holy Spirit.
